This notice explains what Kajolt does with the information you give us and the information we collect when you use this website. If anything here is unclear, email team@kajolt.com and we will explain it properly.
Who we are
Kajolt is a trading name operated by the Emmington group. Kajolt introduces service businesses to independent specialists and sells a paid consultation called the Growth Call. We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
- What you type into our form: your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, your country, and roughly what you spend on marketing each month.
- What you tell us on the call: anything you choose to share about how your business works, so we can write your plan.
- Payment information: handled entirely by our payment provider. Card details are entered into their secure form and never reach our servers. We only see the outcome of the payment.
- Basic technical information: the pages you visit and how you got here, through standard website and advertising analytics.
Why we use it
- To arrange and deliver the Growth Call you booked, and to write and send your plan.
- To introduce you to a specialist, where you have asked us to. We share only what that specialist needs in order to help you, and we tell you who we are introducing you to.
- To take payment and keep the records the law requires us to keep.
- To stay in touch about things we think are genuinely useful to your business. You can stop this at any time, with one reply or one click.
- To measure which of our adverts and pages actually work.
Our lawful bases are performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the business, your consent where consent is required, and our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share your information with the specialists we introduce you to, and with the service providers who keep this business running: our website host, our email and CRM providers, our payment provider, and our accountants. We do not sell your information, and we do not hand your details to anyone as a lead.
Where it is kept
Our providers may process your information outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where they do, that transfer is covered by the safeguards required under UK and EU data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for as long as you are a contact of ours and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records relating to a payment are kept for as long as tax and company law requires, which is normally six years.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, ask for it in a portable format, and object to us using it for marketing. Email team@kajolt.com and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
